Mr Aksel Steen-Nilsen appointed new Director of Mine Action and Disarmament at NPA
Mr Aksel Steen-Nilsen has been appointed as the Norwegian People's Aid's new Director of Humanitarian Mine Action and Disarmament.
With decades of experience from the sector and spanning various roles within our organization, Mr Steen-Nilsen is an experienced leader in mine action.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Mine Action and Disarmament work at NPA. The privilege of working with and further developing one of the world's major humanitarian mine action organisations is both an immense honor and a formidable challenge that I enthusiastically embrace", said Steen-Nilsen.
Having led country programs across NPA's portfolio and played an important role in shaping the strategic direction and success of our mine action work globally, his expertise is instrumental in driving impactful change.
This in combination with a technical background in mine action, Mr Steen-Nilsen's leadership promises to advance our mission and create safer communities worldwide.
