NPA Vietnam Conducts Training on Gender and Diversity in Mine Action
From 28 to 31 October 2024, NPA held initial sessions of the Gender and Diversity in Mine Action training for staff in Quang Binh, Kon Tum and Thua Thien Hue provinces, to build capacity for both operations and office support staff in integration of gender and diversity into their daily field work in respective provinces.
The training is also intended to increase our staff member’s knowledge and understanding of the importance of gender equality and social inclusion. The training was tailored to NPA’s survey and clearance activities in each province and consisted of a mix of expert lectures, discussions and group activities to encourage the participant’s active involvement.

These series of trainings are part of a larger project funded by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi entitled “Promoting Gender and Diversity, including the Empowerment of Women Working in Humanitarian Mine Action", falling under activities connected to Women working in Peace and Security.
NPA Vietnam would like to thank the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi for the first-time ever and crucial support that enables us to conduct such a meaningful capacity development project.
