NPA is an independent international organization that stands up for freedom of religion or belief and freedom of expression in Norway and the countries where we work.
Burning and desecrating the Quran and other holy books are offensive and a clear act of provocation. We condemn the racism, xenophobia, and related intolerance that some individuals and groups try to spread.
Norwegian People’s Aid works in Norway and more than 30 countries worldwide. NPA's international work covers three core areas: Mine Action and Disarmament, Development, and Humanitarian assistance.
We work closely with different actors in the societies and communities we serve. We will continue working with the communities and authorities to remove mine contamination, protect people’s lives, provide humanitarian assistance, and promote democracy and human rights in cooperation with local partners.
