The NukeEXPOs held on April 16 in Brussels, Belgium, and April 26 in Oslo, Norway, provided a unique opportunity to understand the human impacts and risks of nuclear weapons – combining interactive expert panels, virtual reality experiences, film, and informative exhibitions. The event was intended for policymakers, emergency responders, academia, civil society and the media.

Together with representatives from the Norwegian Embassy and the Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC), the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) Vietnam Programme was honoured to receive a visit from Mr. Bård Vegar Solhjell, the Director General of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) on 10 June 2024 at VNMAC office.

REFORM in times of crisis

The answer was training volunteers who in turn teach other volunteers how to protect themselves from explosives - both when they rain down around you, but also what to do when you find them undetonated on the ground.

Grave concern over the situation in Sudan

The situation is beyond dire, over 8 million people are displaced from their homes and the UN recently warned that the population is facing catastrophic hunger.
